The Vertex Color Tool allows MODO to assign RGB values to a vertex map for vertex map shading effects. The tool requires a vertex map of type RGB or RGBA be created and selected in the vertex map list prior to editing. The application of the tool is done on a selection basis with hauling in the viewport controlling the Alpha amount if enabled. Users can interactively apply color to a map using the Airbrush falloff option, providing a means to directly paint on color.
Vertex Color Map
Color: Users can define a RGB color value.
Alpha: When 'Use Alpha' is enabled, this value determines the amount of transparency.
Use Alpha: This toggle option provides a means to apply an Alpha transparency value in additional to color values with the tool.
