The 'Sculpt Mask' tool requires the use of image based sculpting, as it is meant to specifically paint into an 'Image Map' layer defined as a layer mask to the Displacement layer. The tool is simply painting into an image using grayscale values which are used to hide or reveal the sculpted data, without affecting the displacement layer itself. To use the tool, users will need an additional 'Image Map' layer below the Displacement layer defined as a 'Layer Mask'. For the users convenience, the "Add Mask Texture" on the 'Utilities' subtab of the Paint interface's toolbox will add an image texture with the appropriate effect selected in the Shader Tree, at which point the user can begin to use the 'Sculpt Mask' feature by simply brushing in any of the 3D viewports. The main benefit of the tool is that it will eliminate the need to select the appropriate layer in the shader tree to Displace or Mask; users can simply sculpt and then use the mask tool to hide and/or reveal areas of the displacement.

Sculpt MaskAmount: The 'Amount' value determines the strength of the brush stroke when masking the displacement. Higher values will mask the displacement layer more quickly. Pressing the 'Ctrl' when masking the layer will remove the areas of the mask, revealing the displacement.
