Cut--
modo supports the ability to cut geometrical selections from the 3D Model View. Cut selections are placed in a buffer, so that they can be pasted into other layers or other files in the Mesh List.
To cut geometry from multiple mesh items do the following:
1) In the Item List hold down the CTRL key and select multiple mesh items.
2) In the 3D Model View, paint the selection you wish to cut.
3) Press CTRL-X.
This cuts the geometry from the viewport and list. To paste this data into another layer simply select the mesh item and press CTRL-V
Copy--
modo allows for multiple files to be loaded during one single working session. Each loaded file appears as an entry in the Mesh List. You can expand each file to access multiple layers in each file.
The Cut/Copy/Paste tools can be used to duplicate and move objects between layers and files.
To Copy geometry from one level to another do the following:
1) In the Mesh List, activate the layer you want to manipulate.
2) In the 3D Model View, select the geometry.
3) Press CTRL-C to copy the geometry or choose File > Copy.
4) Go to the new layer or file that you want to paste into.
5) Press CTRL-V to paste or use File > Paste.
