Leveraging MODO's renowned rendering engine; shading and lighting in MODO are the necessary contributors to creating final baked texture maps. Lighting plays an important role in illuminating the surfaces, while shading defines the look of the modeled surfaces as either shiny or dull, reflective or transparent and baking calculates the combination of the two to produce the final baked texture.
